Now we are going to discuss about the effects of pollution on environment but first we need to know that what is pollution. In simple word pollution is a virus that destroys the usual way of life. It causes many diseases and other natural disasters. In this our topic is effects of pollution on environment. There are many thing that are being disturbed by pollution and it cause both humans and animals to suffer. For example it cause the depletion of ozone , extinction of animals etc .
# Effect on Ozone:
The biggest effect of pollution that can destroy our lives is its effect on ozone. Ozone is a protective layer in the atmosphere it serves as a shield against the UV rays that comes from the sun with it light. The harmful gases like Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) contain the pollutant like chlorine atom that react with the ozone and form a hole where it react . This in turn let the UV rays enter in the lower atmosphere where there is no means to deflect and when it touches the skin it cause problems like skin cancer and many others.
# Effects on water:
As we know polluted water is not drink able. There are two types of polluted water one is in which you can see garbage floating and smells this type is not so harmful because we can avoid drinking it but the other type is very bad because it does not smell and looks clean but filled with harm full chemicals. These chemicals are called runoffs. These runoffs make the water poisonous and effect the aquatic life means fishes so in turn if we eat on the fishes that are effected by the runoffs we can also get infected. some of these runoffs are Cyanobacteria , blue-green algae. These cause diseases like Cholera, Anemia, Ascariasis and others.
# Effect on Land:
Some times the polluted water effects the land and cause many problems for the farmers it cause the land to dry or made the land poisonous so every vegetable or fruit grow there is poisonous. Land pollution can be cause by mining which leaves the soil contaminated with some harmful chemicals. Then there are pesticides on these pesticides called Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) is usually use to kill mosquitoes that spread malaria but in return it infects the humans and cause cancer and other diseases.
